Position Title: Chief of School Accountability & Compliance
Reports To: Superintendent
Location: Achievement School District (ASD) Memphis, TN
The essential function of the position with the organization is to ensure the district and schools across the Achievement School District Portfolio are compliant with all state and federal requirements as well as school progress towards meeting school performance metrics.
Specific Position Responsibilities:

Develops and maintains a complete record of required state and federal compliance items for the district.
Clearly communicates due dates and ensures timely submissions of all items to the proper agency.
Works directly with all charter schools across the Portfolio.
Leads the district through compliance monitoring on consolidated planning and all federal programs.
Provide training to all schools and relevant District personnel regarding compliance items, due dates, and process for submission.
Establishes and monitors progress metrics toward program goals and objectives.
Monitors school-based performance toward District goals/interventions and reports progress to Superintendent.
Works in conjunction with other team members to monitor school-based progress toward goals listed in School Improvement Plans.
Manage, participate in, and lead the District through the Charter School Authorizer Evaluation Process with the State Board of Education.
Serve as the District’s Title IX Representative.
Serve as the District’s Representative for Federal Programs and Oversight.
Coordinate with team members to provide timely responses to state-based performance indicators for Special Education, Pre-K, Annual Performance Report, and other specialized programs.
Provide training and professional development to District and school-based teams.
Monitors school progress towards additional requirements triggered by the School Performance Framework.

- May periodically be required to travel locally and domestically to attend meetings, trainings, seminars, etc.

Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Education, Business Administration or related field from an accredited university or equivalent work experience. Master’s degree or Juris Doctorate degree, preferred.
